About this video:
This bubble solution recipe isn’t as easy as those basic brew-ups you are used to seeing.
In fact, there are some “secret ingredients” revealed here for the first time and so I’ve taken some heat for it too.
If you’re ready to begin home brewing your own solution, beyond the basics, the recipe on the videos will get you started. Like anything else, experience will make your bubbles & brewing better.
I tried to pack as much good, basic info into one quick video as I could with out overwhelming newbies.
Some of the ingredients are tough to find but they are all available off of the web.
Get the J-Lube at Large Animal Veterinary sites as it was first invented for vets to use when delivering cows. Here’s where I get it: http://www.jefferslivestock.com .
The Surgilube is a (human) personal-medical-use lubricant, similar to KY jelly. You can find it here: http://www.vitalitymedical.com .
The lubes help the bubbles to self-heal (see video).
Two kinds of Dawn, one (non-ultra) is cheap and easy to find at W-Marts and other sorts of stores; the other (Pot & Pan) you’ll find on restaurant supply sites or janitorial supply sites such as: http://www.theyhaveit.com .
Get Kosher Grade glycerin (also spelled glycerine) if you can find it at a health food store in your town, or online. Soap and candle-making sites often have it, try: www.essentialoil.com
If your tap water is “hard” or has wacky pH, use inexpensive bottled/filtered drinking water or spring water. Distilled is good too. .

Nice. Brewing it up …
Nice. Brewing it up took some dedication! Getting beyond bubble brewing basics isn’t easy. The basic: 8 parts water, 1 part detergent and .5 part glycerin recipe is okay. But this usually delivers a WOW experience.
I’m glad to read that all went well except for those pesky kids…
Winter? Sure. Don’t store it too long.
I’ll be selling secret ingredients and new blends on BubbleSolutions . com, FYI.
Family-safe bubble stuff, very concentrated and uniquely blended.
Keep on bubbling!

Worked brilliantly! …
Worked brilliantly!
The only think that bothered us were the kids constantly running arround as and trying to pup the bubbles as fast as possible.
Air was calm, high humidity (it rained this morning).
I have one question left: does the sollution change it’s properties at low temperatures? Can we do this in winter too?

D- More than luck, …
D- More than luck, I wish you high humidity. Save a bit of the solution to try tonight, right as the sun is setting… a fantastic time to make outdoor bubbles. Especially if the air is cool and (mostly) calm.

Corn Huskers did …
Corn Huskers did not do as well as a methyl cellulose based lube. Laundry detergent has anti foaming agents (usually) and so I don’t recommend them. Tri-Strings: You can see the shape easily enough but each bubbler needs to experiment with what materials to use for the loop. I recommend cotton string such as butchers string, 3 or 5 strands braided and weighted at bottom. Cotton cord also works. Other materials work too, check out upholstery shops for piping cord or ribbon type materials.

Have you ever used …
Have you ever used substitutes for the j-lube, and the dawn pot&pan? Do you think cornhuskers lotion would work in place of j-lube, and maybe some sort of laundry detergent, powdered or liquid, in place of the dawn?
Can you make a step by step video on how to make a tri-string. Thanks!
