Has anyone made candles from home before?
Sep 10, 2008 | making candles at homeI'm looking to make candles to make a profit but not sure where to start my candle making. I know I'm going to try out alot of candle making before I can actually sell them but any ideas of what is good (I dont care for soy candles)
I have a really good friend that has a home based business in the candle industry and does quite well. You should contact her. I have a blog on my 360 homepage on home based businesses. If you scroll down to the comment sections where I had other business owners post what they do, her information is on there. Her name is Consuelo. Her contact information is on there as well. Are you looking to have a home based biz doing data entry? There are ways to set that up, but it will require a lot of leg work and your cost would have to be higher then someone paying minimum wage for data entry work. So, the probability of having a successful data entry home based business would be slim. If you look for a "home Job" doing data entry for another company, your going to make minimum wage. After taxes are taken out, your looking at brining in below minimum wage. Which isn't a sufficient amount of money.
If I were you, I would look into starting a home based business. Plenty of different industries that you can go into and have a business within a business and be able to make a substantial amount of money in by collaborating with a large corporation. Which isn't as difficult to do as the word sounds. With the gas prices rising, causing everything else to have higher prices like food, clothing and what not, it's forcing people to need to work from home.
I created a blog on my yahoo 360 page profile on home based business opportunities for on line and off line work. Your more then welcome to take a look at a variety of different industries. A lot of information on home based businesses on scams, reports, BBB and many other things that you should educate yourself on. Here's the URL

Google Lonestar Candle Making. They have a website that shows you how to make the candles and has all of the supplies. They carry waxes other than soy.
